This Privacy Policy explains how WellNourished.co, operated by AKB Fitness | Wellness ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the WellNourished app and website at wellnourished.co (the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use our Service, we collect:

• Name and email address (provided during account registration)
• Physical stats you enter into the macro calculator: age, weight, height, biological sex, and activity level
• Dietary goals and food preferences or restrictions you select
• Meal log entries you manually record within the app
• Coaching application information, if you apply for 1-on-1 coaching

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Service, we may automatically collect:

• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited and features used within the app
• IP address and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
• Session duration and usage patterns

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data on our behalf:

• Memberstack: We use Memberstack to manage accounts, authentication, and subscription billing. Memberstack collects your email address and payment information. Your payment details are processed by Stripe through Memberstack and are never stored on our servers.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): When you use AI recipe generation features, your macro targets and dietary restrictions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate personalized recipes. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
• Cloudflare: Our website and app are hosted on Cloudflare Pages and use Cloudflare Workers to process API requests. Cloudflare may collect standard web traffic data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Calculate your personalized daily macro targets using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula
• Generate meal plans and recipes matched to your nutrition goals
• Remember your preferences, restrictions, and progress across sessions
• Process subscription payments and manage your billing
• Respond to support requests or coaching inquiries
• Improve the Service and develop new features
• Send transactional emails related to your account (password resets, billing confirmations)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

3. How We Store Your Data

Your account data and app preferences are stored securely through Memberstack's infrastructure. Physical stats and macro data you enter are stored in your Memberstack member profile and are accessible only to you and, when required to provide the Service, to us. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share necessary data with Memberstack (account management), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI recipe generation), and Cloudflare (hosting and infrastructure). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
• Business Transfer: If WellNourished is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our Service uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. Memberstack uses cookies to keep you logged in. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may affect the functionality of the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data

These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication through Memberstack, and encrypted storage of sensitive fields. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
